Inspiration from an earphone

I had a pair of earphones, but one broke off as i was trying to pull it out of my backpack. Its really unfortunate. First world problems...

I pondered about this "problem" however and thought about how convenient it would be for some creature with one ear to own an earphone like this.

so i drew up a little sketch of a one-eared creature that would make the most out of a single earphone. 

We are Platypuses

                            

When i was living in Australia,  I remember talking with one of my best mates and expressed how I sometimes felt really lonely and out of place. I guess as an artist this is a feeling that is quiet common. I'm not sure. 

This sketch was inspired by the following replied text message:

"You and I feel alone sometimes because we're different creatures than the rest. Beautiful platypuses surrounded by turkeys who don't understand us."

Imaging myself as a platypus was quiet amusing; and not just any platypus, but a victorious one. haha
